Do your toothpaste tablets contain fluoride?

Our tabs are formulated without fluoride as many people prefer fluoride-free toothpaste. Instead, all of our products are formulated with Nano-hydroxyapatite (nHAp) which is a non-toxic alternative to fluoride. nHAp is a mineral that is known to restore and strengthen teeth all while reducing sensitivity. It has also been the gold standard for fighting against cavities in Japan since 2013. You can read the study on this star ingredient here.

Fun Fact: nHAp was first developed by NASA in the 1970's for astronauts. 

How many tablets are in each bottle?

There are 62 tabs in our small bottles which is equal to about one month of brushing your teeth (twice a day). 

There are 248 tabs in our 4 Month Subscription bottle which is enough for one person to brush their teeth twice a day for four months. 

(Psst: this bottle is meant to be refilled with our home compostable pouches)

How do you use toothpaste tablets?

Using our toothpaste tablets is simple! Place one tablet in your mouth, chew, then brush with a wet toothbrush - repeat twice a day, everyday. 

How should I store my toothpaste tablets?

When you are not brushing those pearly whites, please make sure you put the lid back on your bottle and twist it so that it is air-tight. Store them in a cool, dry place.

Are your toothpaste tablets safe for kids?

Of course! Our tabs are fluoride-free and safe to swallow (although we would recommend spitting after you brush like any other toothpaste.) Since our product is a small chewable tablet, we do not recommend it for children under the age of 3 years old as it may become a choking hazard. For children under 3, please crush the toothpaste tablets into powder and dip wet toothbrush bristles into powder then brush. 

Are your toothpaste tablets safe for pets?

NO, these are not safe for pets! Our tablets contain xylitol, which is great for humans but is extremely toxic to our furry friends.

Are your products tested on animals?

Never, we are proud to be a cruelty free oral care company.

Are your toothpaste tablets travel friendly?

Yes! Our toothpaste tablets are TSA approved and ready to go wherever you want them to.


Is natural toothpaste any good?

They sure are! Although Toothpaste tablets are a new concept, all of our ingredients are of the highest quality and are scientifically proven to help fight cavities and level up your oral health. No chemicals here!

How do your subscriptions work?

Our聽subscription聽is simple. You choose what kind of Tabs you'd like to subscribe to and we'll send you a cool glass jar filled with 4 months worth of tablets for your first order. On the following months, you will receive a 100% compostable refill pouch made to pour into your Vital Toothpaste Tabs jar. You always get free shipping on US+AUS orders over US$37.

Do I have to subscribe?

Nope. Our small bottles (non-subscription) are US$12 and include a one month supply of smiles although you鈥檒l save 33%, get auto refills, and help reduce your carbon footprint if you do subscribe. Plus you can cancel anytime!

Will I get email reminders for my subscription?

On our mission to give you a healthier smile + save our planet we will never leave you unaware of upcoming shipments. You will receive an email prior to the renewal of your subscription and you can cancel anytime you'd like - hassle free!

How much does it cost?

The 4 month subscription plan to our toothpaste tablets costs US$32 billed every 4 months. You will always get an email reminder before your subscription renews just in case you want to make changes.

How do I cancel or postpone my subscription?

Start by logging in here. After logging in, select "Manage subscriptions" to postpone or cancel upcoming shipments. 

If you do not have an account yet, simply create one with the same email address you used to place your original order and you'll automatically see a "Manage subscriptions" button in your account page.

Vital will automatically renew your Subscription and charge your Payment Method depending on the Subscription shipping frequency chosen by you and, as authorized by you by agreeing to the automatic renewal of your Subscription during the Subscription sign-up process. 

Your Payment Method will be charged at least one full business day prior to your next Subscription shipping date. We will charge your Payment Method with the applicable cost for your Subscription, along with any shipping and handling costs and sales or similar taxes that may be charged with your Subscription.

To avoid being charged, you must cancel your Subscription. We will continue to bill your Payment Method on a recurring basis (depending on the Membership and Box shipping frequency selected) until you cancel.

From time-to-time Vital may change it's Subscription offerings, policies or frequency in which case you will be notified via email.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your refund & return policy?

We hope you love our Vital Toothpaste Tablets but if you're not 100% happy, please email us within 30 days of receiving your toothpaste tabs (or first subscription order) so we can help you. 

We are happy to accept returns on both new and newly opened Toothpaste Tabs within 30 days of postal delivery. Please refer to the directions below if you would like a return.

Any refills or subscription shipments after your first order are not eligible for return, refund or cancellation after they have been charged.

Our Bamboo Toothbrush and Mint Dental Floss are NOT eligible for return.

Unfortunately, we are unable to refund your original shipping charges and we do not offer exchanges on any of our products. We cannot accept empty jars or more than half used empty bottles or jars. We will only accept new and lightly used products. 

Return Process:

  • Please send an email to along with a photo of the products you are returning
  • Once approved, we will provide you with a return merchandise authorization number and mailing information
  • Ensure your return is well packaged and meets all the conditions outlined below.
  • Please mark your RMA number clearly on the outer packaging of your parcel.
  • Use an insured tracking delivery service to ensure your parcel reaches us safely.

  • All returned items must be new or lightly used. 
  • We are not responsible for the return shipping costs of the items.
  • Please make sure all returned items are well packaged, so as not to be damaged in the post.
  • Please make sure all return packages are sent with a trackable, insured service for your protection and prompt delivery. We cannot take responsibility for items damaged or lost in the return transit.
  • Please make sure that the returns form has been approved - We cannot ensure that we will be able to properly locate and handle your return or exchange without the return authorization and the correct return address

Bulk orders, or orders over $75 USD are ineligible for return, but subject to additional evaluation by our team.

What do I do if my order arrives damaged or broken?

We're so sorry about that, it's the struggle of shipping glass! Please email us at with the subject DAMAGED along with a photo of the damaged goods and we will help you out.

We currently ship to Australia, New Zealand, USA and the United Kingdom but are actively working on launching world wide!

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes we do! Free shipping is available for all AUS orders over US$37.

When will my order arrive?

All orders are shipped from either our Australia or United States warehouses and shipping usually takes 3-10 business days from the day it is shipped to arrive to it's final destination.

We don't offer rush shipping, but if you need it in a hurry, please email before placing your order and we will see if we can do anything for you!
